There is absolutely nothing I love to photograph more than lifestyle newborn photography sessions, and one of my greatest joys is when I’m able to photograph a family each time a new baby joins their life.
Baby Liam is the third addition to his family, and as a newborn photographer in Cary, it was an honor to return and photograph his newborn days, just as I had for his older brother and sister when each was a newborn baby.
Regardless of whether this is your first baby or your third, I always like to spend a bit of time photographing your newborn both by himself and just the two of you. These first days will pass so quickly, and it’s so important to capture those tiny expressions and details.
So happy in mama’s arms.
And of course, there’s nothing sweeter than dad with baby during your newborn photo session, as well.

When your baby has older siblings, we often play it by ear as to when to include them in the photos. Sometimes, it’s great to go ahead and have them spend time with your newborn at the beginning of your photo session, but I like to stay flexible and follow what feels right for your family.
If your older children are excited about the photos, wonderful! We’ll start with them and your new baby. If they’re fully engaged in playing when I arrive, as Liam’s older brother and sister were, that’s wonderful, too! They will become curious while I’m there and want to get in on all that newborn photography goodness - often making the sweetest photos.
We’ll also get some photos of your entire family together, now including your newborn baby.
Especially when older siblings are involved, I love to include a documentary series in your gallery of newborn photos. Life takes on a new level, and it’s so nice to remember how full these days were, as well as the beauty within them.
