A baby changes your life in so many different ways. There are the obvious ones - less sleep and more laundry, for example.
But a baby changes your life in big picture ways, too, and it’s these ways that draw me to newborn photography - specifically capturing the beauty in real, newborn days - over and over again.
A new baby has a way of shining a light on all that’s important in life and urging us to live in the present moment.
A baby brings our connection with our spouse under a microscope and encourages us to grow our roots deeper and entwine more tightly as a family unit.
A baby softens us and makes us more aware of the larger life journey, reminding us what’s most important.
The families I work with all get this, implicitly, and it’s an honor to work with each one.
I returned to Baby Keith’s house when he was one week old for his newborn photo session to capture these big picture changes through the details of their new daily routines.
