How To: Downloading Your Newborn Photos Easily

After your newborn photo shoot is over, the one thing I know you’re most looking forward to is seeing all of the gorgeous images of your newborn baby! And regardless of which Collection you choose for your newborn photos - Timeless, Essential, or Keepsake - you’ll get to do just that, and download all of the photos in your gallery to keep.

When I finish editing your beautiful photos of your newborn baby, you’ll receive an email from me, your Cary newborn photographer, that looks very similar to the one below.

This email is extra special because it not only allows you to see all of the edited images in your newborn photography gallery, it gives you everything you need to download them, so you’ll have them forever!

Once you click, “View Photos” on the email, you’ll be taken to a new page, where you’ll enter your email address, and be taken straight to your photos.

From the grid, you’re able to look through all your photos together or click on individual images of your baby to see them larger. You’re even able to “heart” images to create your own favorites list. But regardless of how you enjoy looking at your newborn photos, you’ll want to come back to this page to download your images.

To download your newborn photos, first click on the downward pointing arrow in the top left of your computer screen. That will bring up a screen that looks like the one below.

Here, you’ll enter your email address and the 4-digit pin included at the bottom of the email I sent you to access your newborn photos.

After clickling “Next,” you’ll be taken to this page below. Highlights will already be selected - this is the entire gallery. If you’ve already chosen favorites, you may have that option available, as well.

The most important thing on this page is to choose “High Resolution” for the Download Size. This is what will give you photos of your newborn baby that you can print.

You’ll also choose where you want to download the photos, and then click, “Start Download.”

The file sizes for your baby’s newborn photos are very large, and so it may take a few minutes to generate the zip file to download your images. The nice thing is that you’ll also get an email when your download is ready, so there’s no need to sit in front of your computer if you have other things you need to do.

When your newborn photos are ready to download, you’ll just click the link - either through your email or from the page - and all of the beautiful full size images from your baby’s newborn photography session will download to your computer.

You’ll have approximately two weeks to download your newborn photos, but please don’t wait! This is not something you want to forget to do.

After you download your newborn photography gallery, I always recommend backing your images up on an external drive, and of course, printing them to really enjoy looking back at this special newborn time.
