Some parents prefer to lean into what their baby would typically wear at home and choose a onesie or romper for their baby for their lifestyle newborn photo session. I love this look in photos, too! White is a tried and true favorite, but I especially love when the onesies or rompers have color or even a simple pattern.

For families who choose a onesie, you’ll notice I don’t have any pants or skirts in the shop. Pants and skirts can leave a funny line around your baby’s belly and don’t look great in photos during the newborn stage. If leg coverage is important to you, instead of separates, I’d recommend choosing a romper instead or using the blanket you’ll have on hand to keep your baby warm.
