I often think about how thankful I am to have become one of the top newborn photographers in Cary and Raleigh. Newborn Photography is not just something I do. It’s something I love. And it’s my hope that my passion for capturing the beauty in real life comes through in every newborn photo session I shoot.
In that spirit, I thought it would be fun to put together a “gratitude list” with so many of the little things that make being a newborn photographer so special to me.
My Favorite Things About Being a Newborn Photographer
1. Helping new parents remember all the details and sweetness of this time through photos and video. (It all goes by in a flash, doesn’t it?)
2. Capturing your family together with the newest addition.
3. Photographing those sweet older sibling emotions and reactions.
4. Those baby yawns.
5. And baby toes
6. Beautiful sleeping babies.
7. Capturing all those sweet and funny expressions that your baby makes.
8. Getting to see the nursery you’ve planned and put together.
9. Hearing all the details of your baby’s birth story.
10. Snuggling babies - especially when I wrap them in a swaddle and sway them to sleep. (This is something I’ve missed so much since Covid began! I am sure I’ll be able to do it again one day, but until then, I’ll be following my Covid-19 Safety Precautions and leaving the snuggling and swaddling to you.)
11. Sharing tips and tricks I’ve picked up over the years. With three boys of my own, and 6+ years as a birth and newborn photographer, I’m happy to share anything I’ve learned that may make your life a bit easier.
12. Watching families grow - both from one to two to three little ones and through Family Video Stories.
13. Being in the midst of so much love and joy.
