Where to Print Your Newborn Photos

After your newborn photography session is over, the most exciting part is seeing your baby’s images. But don’t leave them on your screen! Printing your newborn photos allows you to enjoy them - and see them! - so much more.

Printing photos is something I feel is so important. (There’s even research that links childhood self-esteem to printed photos!) That’s why both my Essential and Timeless Photo Collections include a beautiful gallery box filled with 4x6 prints from your photo session, as well as print credit for larger photos for your wall.

But although the heirloom quality prints I offer are beautiful and special, I know it’s also important for you to be able to print your newborn photos yourself - and that you want them to look great!

I’m here with tips, so you can do just that.

Tips for Printing Your Newborn Photos:

1. Download your photos from the email link I send you, and back them up.

2. Print your photos at either Mpix or Artifact Uprising. Never print your photos at a drugstore, Target, or a regular home printer!

I recommend these two online photo printing companies because they are both higher in quality and service than anywhere else I’ve found, outside of the professional-only companies I use.

Mpix is great for more traditional prints, and I always recommend adding the lustre coating. The coating helps protect your photos from any fingerprints, and it also gives it a little extra something that makes it look more professional.

Artifact Uprising is my favorite suggestion for more unique and modern prints. I highly recommend their Everyday Print Set and their Large Format Prints, and really quite affordable, in comparison to professional labs.

You know best which of these two companies is more in line with your family’s personal style - or what the grandparents would want!

So often when families work with a newborn or family photographer, they never print their images. Unprinted images are not just unseen, they’re basically lost forever. So whichever company you choose to print your newborn photos, know you’ve made a great decision, and enjoy seeing that moment in time, forever.
