She gave us something we will treasure forever in the photographs of our Sunday mornings together. These are moments that I know won’t last long, and it’s so wonderful to save them in the way she does." -Jennifer

One of the things that really stuck out to me was her children’s love for creative play. We decided on an art session, with time at the beginning for the children to warm up to me and the camera.

Their honest curiosity gives them the ability to phrase things in a way that adult never would, and we’re so surprised by their bluntness, we’re encouraged to think about things in a new way.
A couple of weeks ago, I got one of those great questions from a client’s son. Right in the middle of painting a star, he turned to me and asked, “So, why do you like taking photos?”

Each box had a little hook, and when you pulled it, and entire flip album pulled out. I spent hours pouring over those photos, remembering birthdays and Christmases, family reunions and vacations. There were photos of dance recitals and Easter egg hunts, ones of my sister and me contently cuddling up to read with our grandparents, and ones where we were clearly mad at the world (or at least our little part of it). I could see my dad building a little red wagon just for me and my mom carrying my sister's homemade birthday cake. There were hundreds of these photos in those boxes. Hundreds.
