Choosing the Wedding Gown | Albuquerque Family Photographer

When you think of a documentary or lifestyle family photo session, what do you picture?

Little children?

Everyone at home?

A family engaged in their everyday routines and interactions?

It's a wonderful phase of life, for sure, and it makes sense to invest in a photographer who can capture your favorite memories of that time, but it's not the only phase worth documenting.

Each stage of our life contributes to making us who we are.

Each stage is valuable.

Whether you're single, married without kids, raising babies (or teenagers!), empty nesters, or grandparents, your life - in this phase - is important and worth celebrating.

Lisa totally gets that.

And when she contacted me about a session to document her future daughter-in-law, Stephanie, choosing her wedding dress at Alfred Angelo in Uptown, I was over the moon!

No, it's not a typical "family photo session," but it's exactly the phase her family is in at this moment in time, and that's what makes it perfect.

By celebrating this milestone in the combining of two families, and gifting this session to Stephanie, these families will have this joy and emotion of this day for a lifetime, and I couldn't be happier for them.

I'm not going to spoil the wedding day surprise by sharing photos of Stephanie in the dress she chose, but believe me when I say, there was not a dry eye in the boutique when she came out in The One. She is a beautiful bride!

Stephanie and Anthony, I wish you a lifetime of love and kindness. Congratulations!

Here are a few photos from their session:
